Am I an Invisalign® candidate?

Dr. Randy Kunik has revolutionized Invisalign orthodontic therapy by developing a staging driven treatment process that is completely dynamic. He is able to create an Invisalign Treatment Plan for virtually everyone. This kind of treatment process keeps the plan flexible to deal with unexpected conditions and allow for other types of correction within the plan to help speed up the process. Most other dentists and online aligner manufacturers use a "fixed" aligner progression that can't be easily changed.

How do aligners and braces move teeth?

When you use orthodontic braces to move the teeth you are encouraging the ligaments to stretch and contract. The braces create forces on the ligaments by moving the tooth. The ligaments in turn apply force to the bone. The stresses in the affected area cause the blood supply to increase, which in turn leads to a biological response called bone remodeling. Bone is reabsorbed in the compressed area and new bone is formed in the opened area.
