of tasks and challenges, back home again to ensure that the
house and family are taken care of, and in bed in time to
get a good night's rest to start it all over again the next
day. When a person's life is this hectic, who has time to
exercise, eat right, and take care of you?
My life has always been about others - helping others,
taking care of others, doing for others. I do not regret that
one bit. However, in my efforts to do for others, I tend to
forget about taking care of me.
Two years ago, I realized that I wanted to do something
special for myself - something that would make me feel good
about me. I decided that it was time to straighten my teeth
and improve my smile - Adult Orthodontia.
I researched my options, spoke to my dentist, and gathered
many recommendations of who I needed to see. The decision
was easy; the best person in town is Dr. Randy Kunik.
Dr. Kunik and his staff are phenomenal. Everyone in the
office is personable, friendly, and caring. The attention
and care that I got far exceed my expectations. The experience
I had in their office made my hectic days bearable and they
made me feel good about myself.
If you are considering Adult Orthodontia, and you are
looking for someone to take care of you for a change, you
need to consider the team and staff at Dr. Randy Kunik's office.

"My nine-year-old daughter simply can’t wait
to have braces. All that’s worrying her is which color
to choose. As a mid-thirties mother of two about to re-enter
the workplace, I cannot say that this was my biggest concern.
In fact my list of worries had put me off getting braces for
years. It wasn’t until I bumped into an old flame from
junior high who told me that he had often seen me in the years
since, and always knew that it was me by my teeth! He quickly
added that there was nothing wrong with my teeth. Too late,
the damage was done. I needed braces!
Well, you’d think that I’d get straight on
down to the orthodontist. Not me. The thought of getting braces
was still enough to put me off for about a year, in fact until
the conversation came up with a friend who recommended I go
to see Dr Kunik.
From first entering Dr Kunik’s office I felt at
ease. The first thing that hit me was the office itself. You
must see it! Here is someone who understands patients’
and cares enough to make a visit to the orthodontist fun!
(Did I say that?) Next was the staff. Many doctors underestimate
the importance of having friendly, courteous reception and
nursing staff. Not Dr Kunik. I was treated with kindness and
made to feel that getting braces at 36 was totally normal.
Even then I procrastinated. Would it hurt? Would I look
silly? Would I talk strangely? What food would I have to give
up? How long would I have to wear them? And my ‘biggie’…would
I still be able to kiss my darling husband???? I was reassured
on all fronts - people even got pregnant while wearing braces,
I was told! OK, OK… but I was still wavering. All I
could think was why didn’t my parents get braces for
me when I was a teenager and braces were totally acceptable!
I just felt too self-conscious to have them now.
I can guarantee that if it hadn’t been for Dr Kunik
and his staff, I would have turned around and left. If they
had not taken the time to really listen and show genuine interest
and concern for me, I wouldn’t have gone through with
it. Their understanding and upbeat reassurances (and affordable
monthly payment program) did the trick. I signed up.
Having braces was no big deal. In nine months they were
off. The funny thing was that I started noticing lots of adults
wearing them. I even started to look forward to my visits
to Dr Kunik. The atmosphere in the office was happy and positive.
Again, the genuine interest in my progress was much appreciated.
My one complaint is that Dr Kunik always runs on time!
I so enjoyed relaxing reading high quality (and current) magazines
and indulging in a cup of superior coffee, that it was a bit
of a disappointment to be called through so quickly! Joking
aside, this is the one doctor’s appointment that you
can accurately schedule. I was always taken on time and out
ahead of schedule. This truly was worth a lot to me.
I’m sure that there are many orthodontists out there
that can do a good job of straightening teeth, but I think
you’d be hard pushed to find another doctor who can
match the experience.
I am truly grateful. I can’t tell you how glad I
am that Dr Kunik took the time and patience to both twist
my arm and straighten my teeth. They look great (even if I
say so myself)! My confidence and self-esteem have markedly
improved and I now smile a full smile. If only tummy tucks
and boob jobs were so easy!!! And by the way, the kissing
was just fine, thank you very much!"
